Shincheonji Church Shares Lunar New Year Warmth with Guri Market Merchants

On the afternoon of the 6th, Shincheonji Church Guri of the Seoul James Tribe held a Lunar New Year sharing event at Guri Market in Guri, Gyeonggi-do.

As the holiday approached, Shincheonji Church prepared this event to promote mutual growth with the local community and to express appreciation and encouragement to traditional market merchants.

It was not a large-scale event. It was a gesture of sincerity.

A Blessing Pouch Filled with Encouragement

A Message for the New Year

Members of Shincheonji Church prepared small “blessing pouches” and personally delivered them to merchants at the market.

Each merchant selected a pouch of their choice. Inside were New Year blessing messages along with simple snacks such as nuts, vitamins, and candy. Hand warmers were also included to help protect against the winter cold.

The sharing was simple, yet meaningful.

A Moment of Warm Exchange

Some merchants expressed gratitude for the thoughtful visit during the busy holiday season. In return, a few offered warm tea to the volunteers, creating a brief but heartfelt exchange.

Through this event, Shincheonji Church once again stepped into the everyday lives of the local community — not with grand words, but with quiet encouragement.

Continuing Community Engagement

Shincheonji Church Guri has continued various social contribution activities, including local environmental cleanups and cultural sharing programs.

By maintaining steady communication with the community, Shincheonji Church seeks to remain a neighbor that walks together with the region.

Trust is built when small acts of sharing continue.

Similar sharing events have also been carried out in other regions by Shincheonji Church.
