Visual Campaigns Raising Climate Awareness

The Shincheonji Volunteer Group alliance organized climate crisis photo exhibitions and environmental art displays. Through visual materials, visitors were able to see the seriousness of abnormal weather patterns and the need for environmental protection.

Student-created drawings and posters centered on environmental themes were also exhibited, encouraging citizens to pause and reflect.

Alongside exhibitions, on-site promotional booths and street campaigns were operated. Interactive quizzes allowed participants to learn in an accessible way. Volunteers directly explained practical actions such as water conservation, recycling, carbon neutrality, energy saving, wildfire prevention, carbon point systems, and public transportation use.

Practical Participation and Seasonal Campaigns

Summer Heatwave Response

During the summer, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group alliance also conducted heatwave response campaigns. Ice water was distributed while guidelines for preventing heat-related illnesses were shared. The campaign connected daily safety information with broader climate awareness.

Hands-On Eco Booths

Citizens were invited to experience environmental practices firsthand. Booths featured carbon-neutral dishwashing bars made from natural ingredients, cinnamon-based natural insect repellent, EM soil balls for water purification, seed bombs for planting in unused spaces, shrink accessories made from recycled materials, sea glass crafts, and coffee grounds air fresheners.

Participants expressed that everyday discarded items could contribute to environmental improvement, and that small actions felt achievable in daily life.

Recycling Culture and Community Cleanups

In April, the alliance held an “Anabada Flea Market,” promoting the spirit of saving, sharing, exchanging, and reusing. Citizens donated or exchanged household goods, clothing, and used umbrellas, directly experiencing resource circulation.

There were also cases where discarded tires were repurposed into mini gardens decorated with seasonal flowers.

Regular environmental cleanups were conducted in parks, shopping areas, and bus stops. Plogging activities encouraged citizen participation while contributing to cleaner streets.
