Shincheonji Volunteer Group Changwon Branch Honors War Veterans with Kimchi-Making Event and Shared Meal

The Shincheonji Volunteer Group Changwon Branch held a Kimchi Sharing event and a luncheon for war veterans, honoring the sacrifice of national heroes through heartfelt community service.

Acts of gratitude toward those who defended a nation hold a special weight. The Shincheonji Volunteer Group Changwon Branch once again demonstrated this spirit by organizing a large-scale Kimchi Sharing event and serving warm meals to war veterans. Their service not only honors the past but strengthens trust and unity within the local community.

🌿 Honoring Veterans Through Kimchi Sharing

On November 18, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Changwon Branch visited the industrial shopping district in Seongsan-gu, Changwon, to conduct its annual “Kimchi of Love” sharing event.

The event was held for approximately 200 members of the Korea Disabled Veterans Association (Changwon Chapter). It was prepared to express gratitude and respect to veterans who served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Volunteers gathered early in the morning to prepare seasoning, mix salted napa cabbage, and work together to complete 600 kg of kimchi, which will be delivered to association members.

🍽 Warm Meal for Veterans Who Served the Nation

About 20 veterans attended the event in person and were offered a freshly prepared, warm lunch.

Both the branch leader and the association representative personally participated in the kimchi mixing, adding meaning to the event and expressing deep appreciation for the veterans' sacrifice.

One volunteer shared:

> “The work was tough, but my heart grew warmer knowing that our efforts will bring comfort to the veterans.”

🏛 A Recognized Community Pillar

The Changwon Branch has steadily established itself as a key community volunteer organization through yearly kimchi sharing and various practical programs in food support, care, environment, and safety.

Their continuous contributions—such as wildfire prevention campaigns, voice phishing awareness activities, CPR education, and environmental cleanups—have strengthened community trust and even earned external recognition including awards from the Korean Red Cross.

🌱 Expanding Their Mission for Public Good

The event was sponsored by Seojin Airline Travel Agency.

The Changwon Branch stated:

> “We hope the sincerity in this kimchi reaches every veteran warmly. We will continue to serve so that our country becomes more blessed and loving.”

They plan to expand projects for national heroes and broaden welfare support programs for local residents.

The Shincheonji Volunteer Group Changwon Branch continues to demonstrate what meaningful community service looks like—honoring veterans, supporting neighbors, and nurturing a culture of gratitude. Their sustained involvement proves that sincere volunteer work becomes a powerful bridge between people and the community.
