As winter deepens, small acts of kindness can bring the greatest warmth.

The Shincheonji Volunteer Group Gyeyang Branch recently visited local senior centers in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, delivering heartfelt grooming services and year-end sharing activities for elderly residents.

This initiative reflects the group’s continued commitment to community care and meaningful volunteer service.

A Regular Grooming Service Built on Trust and Consistency

The Shincheonji Volunteer Group Gyeyang Branch held the volunteer event on the 18th as part of its ongoing senior grooming program.

Since December of last year, the branch has provided grooming services every two months, marking its sixth visit this time.

Rather than a one-time activity, the program has become a trusted routine—one that seniors now look forward to as part of their daily lives.

Professional Care Tailored to Each Senior

On the day of the event, experienced volunteer hairstylists offered customized grooming services, carefully considering each senior’s facial features and personal preferences.

As haircuts were completed, smiles spread across the room.

Conversations flowed naturally, and the atmosphere quickly turned into one of warmth, familiarity, and mutual respect.

More Than Grooming: Sharing Year-End Joy Together

Beyond haircuts, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group prepared additional activities to deepen connection and joy.

Tteokguk Sharing and Gift Draws Create Smiles

Seniors eagerly participated in:

A warm tteokguk (rice cake soup) sharing

A cheerful year-end gift draw

These moments transformed the event into a celebration, allowing seniors to feel the spirit of togetherness and care that defines the year-end season.

“Small Acts That Create Lasting Bonds”

The head of the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Gyeyang Branch shared heartfelt reflections:

“Though it may be a small gesture, seeing the joy on the seniors’ faces reminds us why volunteering matters.

We will continue cherishing our connection with the local community and carrying out sustainable acts of sharing.”

Through steady service and genuine care, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group continues to build trust—one visit, one conversation, and one smile at a time.
