The Shincheonji Volunteer Group Icheon Branch was honored with the Yeoju Mayor’s Award for its dedicated disaster recovery and community service efforts across Korea.

The Shincheonji Volunteer Group Icheon Branch was officially recognized for its outstanding dedication to community service at the 20th Volunteer Day Ceremony, held on December 5 at the Yeoju Indoor Gymnasium. The branch received the Yeoju Mayor’s Award, highlighting its consistent commitment to disaster recovery and social contribution.

The 20th Volunteer Day Ceremony, hosted by the Yeoju Volunteer Center, is an annual event that honors individuals and organizations who have devoted themselves to volunteer work throughout the year.

The Shincheonji Volunteer Group Icheon Branch was selected as an award recipient in recognition of its proactive efforts in disaster recovery sites, particularly in areas affected by floods and heavy snowfall. These efforts played a meaningful role in helping local communities restore stability and hope.

Since 2023, the Shincheonji Volunteer Group Icheon Branch has actively participated in recovery efforts across multiple regions, including:


Asan, Chungnam Province

Goesan, Chungbuk Province

Yeoju flower farming complexes

Ginseng farms in Icheon


In each location, volunteers provided hands-on support to restore farmland, facilities, and daily life disrupted by torrential rains and snowstorms.
