The event took place at Geoje City Hall Square in collaboration with the Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Blood Center, aiming to address the ongoing blood shortage crisis in the community.

Participants donated blood and also contributed their blood donation certificates, extending heartfelt acts of sharing life and compassion.

💞 First-Time Donors and Touching Moments

The Geoje Branch prepared various programs to encourage both members and citizens to take part.

Special gifts with meaningful messages were distributed, each representing the value of giving life.

A high school senior who donated blood for the first time shared,

“It was meaningful to make my first blood donation right after my birthday. I realized that donating blood is not just about giving—it’s a precious act that can become a great gift for someone in need.”

Another participant said,

“When I saw the message on the We Are One gift — ‘The most precious present I have’ — I truly understood how valuable blood donation is.”

🫶 A Heartfelt Collaboration

A representative from the Geoje Branch expressed gratitude, saying,

“We’re always moved by those who continue to participate with sincerity. We’ll keep promoting blood donation more actively so that more members can join this life-saving mission.”

The Gyeongnam Blood Center also commented,

“We are deeply thankful to the We Are One volunteer group for their consistent support, especially during times when blood supply becomes unstable. Their collaboration has greatly contributed to stabilizing the regional blood supply.”

🌏 Continuing the Nationwide Campaign

Meanwhile, the We Are Red campaign will continue nationwide until the 18th, with a goal of 10,000 completed blood donations across the country.

Through the dedication of these youth volunteers, a culture of life and sharing continues to spread across Korea.
